I’m Still Here

“I’m Still Here” in an ongoing, collaborative, project that aims to explore survival after attempting to take one’s life - as well as how families and friends cope after the loss of a loved one.

About The Project

"I’m Still Here" is an ongoing community-driven art project that explores the complex realities of suicide survival, grief, and resilience. Through visual art, writing, and multimedia submissions, we aim to create a space for those who have attempted suicide, as well as the loved ones left behind, to share their stories in a way that fosters understanding, connection, and healing.

Workshops & Awareness Campaigns

A key goal of "I’m Still Here" is to bring suicide prevention education to young people through creative workshops at schools, colleges, universities and youth/community groups. These sessions will:

  • Use art as a means to discuss mental health openly.

  • Teach coping strategies and how to support those in crisis.

  • Connect students with mental health resources.

If you’re a school, university, or community group interested in hosting a workshop, please reach out to us.

Support the project

Our founding director, Richard, and his friend Ian are walking from Brighton Pier to Blackpool Central Pier next year, a total of 348 miles, to raise money for the project, whilst visiting schools, colleges and universities along the way to provide wellbeing workshops. If you’d like to sponsor this walk, please click here. If you’d like to provide more long term support to the Society’s Mission, please click the donate button at the top of the page.
